*Update: The BANES results are now available. These show a close correlation with our results, confirming the conclusions of our survey, including both volumes and speed profiles.

Following on from our survey in June, we have conducted a follow-up survey. This is in parallel with an official survey by BANES that has been conducted over the same period and in the same location, plus an additional location around No. 180 Englishcombe Lane.  *Those results will be published in due course.

The new survey both confirms and extends the results from June, being more accurate, and able to operate continuously, including overnight.

In summary, the survey shows approximately 3500 vehicle movements per day, over 60% of movements were greater than 20mph, regular high speed movements in excess of 35 mph were observed, and the highest speeds recorded were in excess of 50mph.
